Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Saint Luke’s Health System is committed to providing exceptional care for all patients and a safe and healthy atmosphere for our team.

Susan Lewis, surgery manager at Allen County Regional Hospital, became the first person to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in the county.

The hospital received 45 doses of the Pfizer vaccine and administered them to hospital employees. The hospital expects to receive more vaccines in the coming weeks, and plans to vaccinate all medical staff who want a shot.

The Iola Register talked to Dr. Brian Neely about why he opted to get the vaccine to help protect his patients and family.
