Drug overdose deaths, primarily from opioids, are hitting record numbers across the country. From Oct. 2019-Oct. 2020, there was a 30% increase in deaths nationwide and a 15% increase in Kansas City.

KCTV talked to Dr. Jeffrey Foster, an interventional pain physician with Saint Luke's Pain Management Clinic, about how Missouri's new Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) can help combat the issue.
