Three leading medical organizations declared a national emergency in child and adolescent mental health. The Kansas City area knows the situation all too well.

The American Academy of Pediatrics, American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Children's Hospital Association say they are seeing soaring rates in depression, anxiety, and trauma in teenagers and elementary-age children.

KMBC talked to Amanda Davis, LPC, Director of Intake Services at Saint Luke's Crittenton Children's Center, about how the COVID pandemic has had a big impact on mental health.
