Doctors at Saint Luke's Health System say misconceptions are keeping many pregnant women from getting the vaccine, and that could be dangerous for mom and baby.

Late last week, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine (SMFM) recommended that all pregnant women should get the vaccine.

KMBC spoke with Dr. Kristen Wootton, OBGYN and Medical Director of the Women's & Children's Division at Saint Luke's, to clear up misinformation they’re hearing from expectant mothers and found out what prompted one pregnant mom, Angela Pepper, to get her shot.
