KMBC: Saint Luke's starts testing all patients admitted to hospitals for COVID-19

Starting Thursday, anyone being admitted to a Saint Luke's Health System hospital will be tested for the novel coronavirus.

The universal inpatient COVID-19 testing includes patients admitted for observation as well as those fully admitted as inpatients. The health system is also expanding its use of pre-procedural and diagnostic testing.

KMBC talked to Dr. Sarah Boyd, Director of Infectious Evidence-Based Practice at Saint Luke's, about the move.
