Job Description​

Saint Luke’s Home Care and Hospice has a career opportunity for a Clinical Supervisor to help oversee our home care and hospice functions at our metro branch serving the southeastern part of the metro area, including Kansas City, Lee's Summit, Lake Lotawana and other parts of Jackson county.  This is a great opportunity to use both management skills as well as seeing patients part time.

Our Clinical Supervisors serve a variety of clinical and managerial functions, that include:

  • Overseeing and monitoring performance and productivity for all clinical staff (RNs, Therapists, Aides, Social Workers, etc.) working out of your branch office.
  • Reviewing case management activities to ensure that evaluation and treatment plans are accurate and meet the needs of patients.
  • Assisting with the hiring, training, mentoring, and development of staff.
  • Ensuring that all staff are compliant with all legal, regulatory, and policy requirements.
  • Ensuring that all staff demonstrate proficiency with clinical competencies and that they complete in-service training and continuing education activities.
  • Taking a caseload of patients and providing in-home services and case management to those individuals.
  • Conducting initial assessments of patients physical and psychosocial status and needs.
  • Providing education and counseling to patients, family members, and other caretakers in support of the patient’s care plan.
  • Documenting patient visits, interventions, assessments, and other activities.
  • Attending and/or leading team and agency meetings.
  • Assisting with agency-wide initiatives and special projects.

The Home Care and Hospice Clinical Supervisor must be a Registered Nurse or Physical Therapist and must have an active license in both Kansas and Missouri.  Driving a personal vehicle to home visits is required and the incumbent must have a valid driver license and a satisfactory driving record.
