Job Description​

As a Float Pool Nurse for our Medical Surgical and Telemetry Units at Saint Luke’s East, you will provide coverage for various units including; Med/Surg, PCU, Med Tele, CVRU and Medical Intermediate. You will have the opportunity to care for patients with various medical conditions, treatment plans, and acuity levels. Our float pool is a growing department working to provide stronger support to our teams, improve patient outcomes, and provide an exceptional patient experience for patients and their loved ones. Responsibilities:

• Accountable for utilizing the nursing process.
• Responsible for performing patient care delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff.
• Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies rules guidelines and procedures.

This team supports our Saint Luke’s East location only in Lee’s Summit, MO.
