Job Description​

As a Clinical Team Lead RN for our OBGYN clinic, your day-to-day will be 80% Triage and 20% Lead responsibilities. These responsibilities include, but not limited to ordering supplies, policy and workflow optimization, clinic operations, supporting medical assistants, function as a resource for staff when assistance is needed, provide patient education, and assist providers. You will have the opportunity to work closely with Practice Manager or Clinic Nurse Supervisor to implement decisions and address clinical issues.

This is position where priorities are patient driven and can change quickly. You will support your staff and encourage them in this constantly changing and fast paced environment. To be successful, you will need to be a hands on leader who leads with positivity and enjoys helping others grow their skills while jumping in when needed. You will need to be adaptable, customer focused, calm under pressure and possess strong multi-tasking skills. Leadership experience is preferred, but not required. You must be able to work in a team atmosphere, as well as autonomously. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times is required.

Hours:

Monday – Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, No Nights, No Holidays, No Weekends, No Call

Responsibilities

  • Provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.
  • Primary responsibility is phone screening for OB GYN practice. Calls include test results, scheduling patients, new OB patient evaluation, patient education, medication refill and preauthorizations.
  • If needed, assist physician and nurse practitioner with procedures such as colposcopy, endometrial biopsy , skin biopsies, IUD and Nexplanon placement.
  • Delegates tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel UAP in accordance with demonstrated competencies and consideration to Scope of Practice.
  • Responsible for maintaining clinic flow and assigning nursing staff as needed to meet this goal.
  • Acts as a resource to front desk and nursing staff with clinical issues.
  • Responsible for completing yearly mandatory skills with staff in relationship to clinic competencies. This will also include precepting new clinical employees.
  • Overall responsibility is to achieve quality health care and high patient satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Applicable Experience, 1 year
  • Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • Registered Nurse – KS and MO (KS license required immediately, must obtain a MO license within 90 days of hire date)
  • Associate Degree (Required)

Saint Luke’s Physician Group (SLPG) is a single, physician-led multispecialty organization for all employed Saint Luke’s physicians and their practices. SLPG has 90 practices and more than 435 physicians who practice in a comprehensive and diverse list of specialties.

Important to Note:

*Position will split time and be responsible for triage duties 80% and 20% on administrative duties

*Must have active dual RN license in Missouri and Kansas (Kansas license required immediately and must obtain Missouri license within 90 days of hire date)

*Must have active BLS certification
