Job Description​

Our Blue Valley Family Medicine clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their team! This position will work with a diverse patient population, so each day can be an entirely new set of experiences. You will be conducting pre-visit planning and coordinating with the provider on a plan to tackle each day's challenges. A typical day will include rooming patients, obtaining vitals, administering immunizations, completing point-of-care testing, returning patient phone calls, and various other tasks as needed (urine dips, swabs for influenza/mono/strep, EKGs, etc). The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent computer skills, and be able to build relationships with patients, staff, and providers.

Other position duties: Pre-visit planning, rooming patients, obtaining vitals, utilizing the EMR system, scanning and downloading of documents, administering injections, vaccine coordination, telephone screening (with protocols), phlebotomy, assist with procedures (as needed), and duties as assigned based on respective clinic need. Incumbent in position must have excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor at all times. May be responsible for covering front office job duties as needed.

*This position requires a Basic Life Support Certification
