Job Description​

This position will support the applications and also function in the system administrator role within the CV Services team. The candidate for this job will be responsible for application support and configuration. This position will function with system administration duties including design, engineer and manage the server systems environment in support of the practice clinical and administrative applications.  It will provide technical direction, install, customize and fine tune performance of operating systems and databases on heterogeneous platforms, prepare physical, logical database requirements for Oracle and SQL server applications and assure data integrity through tested backup and recovery procedures. The position will provide consultation and collaboration with customers and colleagues regarding the troubleshooting and planning for hardware and software technical solutions.  Effectively with work with team members to develop, document, share and implement best practices and maintain effective server standards.  The ideal candidate with accept mentoring for other staff related to proactive monitoring, documentation of servers, configurations, backups, and restorations, and Level 2 customer support. Knowledge of Radiology/PACS and Cardiology services, products and applications preferred. Completes other duties as assigned. 

Associate's degree or 5 years' experience in Healthcare IT in lieu of degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Participates on project teams as assigned and cooperates and collaborates with team members. 

  • Establishes effective working relationships with vendors, staff, peers and both internal and external customers. 

  • Ability to work a multiple-managed environment receiving directions from multiple managers. 

  • Provides 24-hour on-call support when assigned in tandem with mentor. 

  • Maintains accurate and timely change management documentation. 

  • Develops an understanding and works with standard methods and procedures. 

  • Communicates well, both verbally and written. 

  • Evaluates issues and escalates to more senior staff when appropriate. 

  • Develops and maintains technical and operational documentation of assigned applications. 

  • Supports production environment for assigned applications. 

  • Exhibits capacity to learn basic problem identification analysis and resolution skills. 

  • Knows when and what resources to leverage for production requests and incidents. 

  • Understands customers’ work processes and workflow to assist in the identification and documentation of users’ functional specifications. 

  • Works under pressure and demonstrates flexibility in a changing environment. 

  • Follows best practices and shares with end users to improve application and use of technology. 

  • Obtains and maintains certifications and/or training necessary for assigned applications. 

  • Maintains assigned tasks on project plans. 

  • Maintains list of production and project-related application issues. 

  • Develops meeting minutes and agendas. 

  • Works independently. 

  • Multitasks and prioritizes tasks.
