Job Description​

The Opportunity: 

  

Saint Luke’s Healthy System is hiring a Business Intelligence Developer II with experience working with SQL, EPIC, SSIS, and various dashboarding tools. This is a remote opportunity. 

 

This position works with end users with designing, developing, and implementing various reporting to solve business problems. The Business Intelligence Developer will be responsible for report writing, SQL database querying, and data analysis. This BI Developer position will manage data flows, imports, and extractions from EPIC and other various sources. 

 

As the Business Intelligence Developer, you will use SSIS packages and stored procedures to load data from multiple sources into a data mart and develop and maintain automated reports and dashboards. This position gathers business requirements from end-users to ensure the most appropriate data is collected, analyzed, and presented.

This is a 100% remote opportunity! 

 

The Work: 

  • Lead the design, development and implementation of new report requests and reporting project solutions using Epic and other third-party utilities as part of organizational analytics initiative. 

  • Member of Epic Enterprise Reporting team and develops and maintains a positive collaborative relationship with DBAs, peers, clinical subject matter experts and physicians to ensure appropriate training and utilization of analytic tools.  

  • Work with requestors to achieve intended results within agreed upon timelines.  

  • Requirements gathering through strong collaboration with customer and application analysts. Data analysis of source data to identify source tables, data definitions and business rules.  

  • Solution design taking into consideration options of tools and report structure format that best meet customer requirements and departments direction and policy.  

  • Solves straight forward reporting problems and works on small to large reporting projects.  

 

To be successful in this position, you must be a customer focused BI Developer with a passion for overcoming challenges and finding solutions. We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Developer who can understand the big picture, identify common themes, and repeat requests to identify creative opportunities to improve the customer experience.  

 

  •  3-5 years of SQL experience preferred. 

  • 1-3 years of EPIC experience and/or Epic Certifications are preferred. 

  • 1-3 years of healthcare experience is preferred.
