Leads IT projects by utilizing the Saint Luke’s System Lifecycle Management methodology. Acts as a role model to team members and project team members. Adheres to project management best practices; produces artifacts and deliverables that not only align with procedural requirements but support the success of the project and project team. Clearly and thoughtfully plans for project delivery; establishes milestones and reports progress against the approved plan. Proactively manages and anticipates roadblocks for the entire project team; partners with impacted stakeholders to ensure contingency plans are in place and deliverables are met. Reports on and always has the current status of performance against schedule, resources, and quality. Manages project resource capacity, ensuring that resources track time against projects. Works with team members and other stakeholders to mitigate conflicting priorities. Supports a team branding of excellence by delivering on commitments and ensuring quality results. Can present to all levels of the organization; including status reports.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree and 5 years' experience in management or supervisory role in Healthcare IT required.
Meets requirements of IS Project Manager plus the following:
General knowledge of hospital and clinic billing operations.
At least one Epic billing application certification.
Extensive knowledge of Epic Resolute HB and Epic Resolute PB applications.
Knowledge of Epic SBO is helpful but not required.
Knowledge of Epic Charge Router is helpful but not required.
Has the ability to manage enterprise-wide project projects and represent the entire IT organization as the point person.
May support peers with project management.
Has direct management responsibility for five or more employees.
Works with IT Director to improve employee engagement and execute activities to encourage and facilitate team morale, cohesiveness and mutual respect.
Works with direct reports to identify opportunities to advance knowledge and skills.
Works collaboratively with all areas of IT to achieve project-based objectives.
Manages all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the team’s direction is aligned to and directly supports the organization’s strategic objectives.
Works with Service Excellence Manager to refine project management methodologies.
Develops key performance indicators to measure project and team performance.
Demonstrates expert knowledge of customers’ processes, workflows and industry issues.
Works with stakeholder groups and team to provide opportunities for collaboration.
Meets or exceeds SLAs for all incidents within his/her supported applications.
Encourages direct reports to contribute to knowledge base.
Stays abreast of technologies and processes that reduces effort and/or improves quality in the delivery of services.
Ensures that all direct reports complete all required annual education as determined by the health system.
Works with IT Director to develop annual strategies for all major applications within his/her respective portfolio.
