Saint Luke's Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a position in our CVOR. Perioperative coordinator is responsible for coordinating patient flow and staffing within CV Surgery in collaboration with the Anesthesia board runner. Responsibilities include:
-Coordinate patient flow between pre-op, OR and post-op departments.
-Manage, in collaboration with anesthesia, daily case schedule & assignments.
-Coordinates staffing and day-to-day workload.
-Serves as a clinical resource
-Staff coach
-Assures patient and staff safety during day-to-day activities.
-Provides feedback on OR efficiency processes
-Assists in development and implementation of processes to improve OR efficiency.
-Assists with policy development.
-Leads selected clinical quality/performance improvement within the department
-Champions evidence based practice
-Provides feedback for staff PMPs
-Participates in department committees e.g. unit council, department leadership
-Represents CVOR on selected hospital and system committees
Coordinating patient flow and staffing within CV Surgery Monday-Friday. Works 3 – 12 hour shifts. 0500-1700
