Job Description
Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City is looking for a registered nurse (RN) for their Outpatient Oncology Clinic. This registered nurse (RN) position provides the opportunity to be a partner in the patient’s cancer journey. This gives them the unique and rewarding experience of being able to build relationships with patients long term. This is a full time position, Monday-Friday with 8 hour shifts, no holidays or weekends. This registered nurse position collaborates with a multidisciplinary team consisting of physicians, nurse practitioners, RNs, and MAs. Our Outpatient Oncology Clinic utilizes a practice council for oncology and a care team model with patients so they will have the support of an entire team. It is a great opportunity for an experienced nurse already in the oncology field to continue to grow in their career or for an experienced RN in another area that is excited to learn a new specialty among a compassionate, experienced and tight knit team.
The registered nurse in this position will have face to face contact with patients, schedule emergent-need appointments, handle patient follow-up calls and provide patient education on procedures and processes. This is an opportunity for a nurse to be a partner with the patient and their care plan every step of the way.
At Saint Luke’s Health System we are committed to diversity and inclusion and providing the highest level of care to patients and communities we serve. Our system’s outstanding clinical outcomes, reputation, exceptional customer service, dedication to research and innovation, and state-the-art facilities and technology reflect our vision of being “the best place to get care, the best place to give care." We are committed to education and development of staff. Our Outpatient Oncology Clinic is excited for this new opportunity for a registered nurse wanting to learn a specialty and is ready to provide training, education, and support to empower growth of this individual and our clinic.
