Job Description​

The Opportunity

This IS Analyst II position is 100% remote and will be responsible for build, troubleshooting of complex issues, testing, and issue resolution. This position will work collaboratively with internal customers and external vendors to maintain and improve Acute Care applications, internal processes, and workflows.

The ideal candidate will be certified in Epic Inpatient Clinical Documentation.

To be successful in this role you must be willing to take a self-driven, proactive approach to learning and management of tasks and projects, work across teams, organizations and help to advance our system goals and imperatives in a fast-paced health care delivery organization.  In this position, you will have the opportunity to use your IT skills to drive creative solutions to complex challenges. This will give you the opportunity to try new things and change the way we provide Acute care. The Work

  • This position provides IT support to assigned systems as a subject matter expert and secondary support to other systems owned by the Hospital Informatics team.

  • This could include but is not limited to Epic Inpatient Clinical Documentation, Epic Inpatient Orders, ASAP, Rehab, LTC, Care Management, Stork, Infection Control and other ancillary or non-Epic applications. 

  • Translates customers’ functional requirements into functional specifications for system design and program specifications.

  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of specific processes related to Healthcare Information Technology.

  • Demonstrates an expertise in assigned applications and an understanding of how to integrate applications to create solutions for assigned areas.

  • Initiates process improvement opportunities within IT and with end users.

  • Assesses, identifies and troubleshoots root causes for complicated problems and processes, resolves, and/or coordinates resolutions.

  • Coordinates the system implementation, updates and fixes with end users/departments, ensuring satisfactory results.

  • Participates in smaller-scope portions of a larger project as assigned.

  • Responsible for end users’ training on assigned systems, as needed.

  • Works with vendors, depending on systems assigned, on technical requests.

  • Assists with the development and execution of test plans in cooperation with the project team.

  • May also be responsible for report writing in applications.

  • Completes other duties as assigned.

  • Multitasks and prioritizes tasks with minimal direction.

  • Demonstrates initiative and meets deadlines.
