The Director Imaging is responsible to
• Provide the strategic vision oversight plan organize and direct all functions and activities related to radiology services within SLHS
• Proactively identify innovative process changes for the future, lead a large team and collaborate with others including system and entity executives, radiology/imaging operations, and physician leadership to drive efficiencies, consumer-friendly services, profit and technological advances in medical imaging.
• This individual will be the system expert on imaging services which includes guiding initiatives that optimize ease of access, process improvement, patient safety and quality.
• Responsibilities included but not limited to
• Develop and implement a consistent and coordinated delivery of care across the system
• Develop and implement a system-wide operational plan for Radiology Services
• Develop a strategic system-wide 5-year capital plan
• Recommend and implement specific actions to optimize financial results
• Partner closely with radiology physician leaders across the system and foster relationships with employed and third-party radiologists
• Provide administrative leadership oversight for system-wide radiology services including directors and managers
• Lead innovation and technology advancements within medical imaging as it relates to patient care
• Partners with Quality and other stakeholders to lead and/or sponsor process improvement initiatives for radiology services

Collaborates with physicians, leaders and other staff in establishing and refining programs and services as market leaders. Collaborates with leaders to identify clinical analytics and reporting needed for ongoing quality process improvement and efficiencies. Serves as a resource for System leadership to achieve organizational goals. Creates an inclusive supportive and respectful environment in which everyone can fully contribute to the organization.
Creates an environment that encourages a just culture and continuous improvement. Challenges the status quo and encourages ongoing improvement and innovation. Serves as an ongoing resource to staff, students, residents and physicians and shares best practices and lessons learned.
Leads and implements strategies to ensure division achieves productivity, operational and capital budget targets. Collaborates with Material Management to create System wide radiology technology/equipment review, purchase, and standardization.
Master’s Degree in Healthcare, Business, or related discipline is required.
Comprehensive knowledge of hospital, ambulatory, and/or retail healthcare operations with at least 5 years of progressive leadership experience required.
Imaging experience required.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) strongly preferred.
