The Opportunity:
Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City located in Kansas City, MO is hiring a RN to join their Level III NICU team of top performers. This position offers nurses the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment providing care to various acuity levels and patient families. As a registered nurse on this team you will provide care to infants from the time of admission to discharge. This is a great opportunity to provide care to your patients as they improve during their stay and go home with their new families.
This is the only team in the region that works with High Frequency Jet Ventilators and has an above national average survival rate for infants between 22 – 28 weeks. This position is supported by dedicated care support teams of respiratory therapists, case managers, Critical Resource Nurse for every shift, and other support staff. This is a team recognized for their teamwork and collaboration amongst all members of the care teams. RNs on this team support each other, provide knowledge sharing, and work together to improve patient outcomes and improve their nursing skills.
Schedule: 7 PM – 7 AM

The Work:
Accountable for utilizing the nursing process.
Responsible for performing patient care, delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff.
Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies, rules, guidelines and procedures.
We are looking for experienced nurses who are adaptable, flexible, detail oriented, team player, and possess strong time management skills. As a registered nurse on this team, you will need to thrive in unpredictable environments and enjoy providing care to all acuity levels. Experience in a NICU or Pediatrics is preferred, but not required.
