The Opportunity:
Saint Luke’s Health System is looking for a IS Systems Analyst II to support various clinical applications for their Cardiovascular Services. This Systems Analyst position is responsible for application support and configuration. This role will function as a systems analyst with system administration duties including design, engineer and manage the application and server environments in support of the practice clinical and administrative applications. In the role, you will provide technical direction, install, customize, and fine tune performance of operating systems and databases on heterogeneous platforms, prepare physical, logical database requirements for Oracle and SQL server applications, integrations using HL7, and assure data integrity through tested backup and recovery procedures.
The position will provide consultation and collaboration with colleagues, vendors, and customers regarding the troubleshooting and planning for hardware and software technical solutions. You will have the opportunity to work with team members to develop, document, share and implement best practices and maintain effective server standards.
As an IS Analyst II, you will assist with mentoring and developing others, lead small to medium projects, and work in a high-pressure environment while demonstrating flexibility in a changing environment.
Technologies used in this position include but not limited to; AGFA, FUJI, MacLab, Mytel Communications Systems, Banyon Information Systems, SQL, HL7 and VMWare.
The Work:
Participates on project teams as assigned and cooperates and collaborates with team members.
Establishes effective working relationships with vendors, staff, peers and both internal and external customers.
Provides 24-hour on-call support when assigned in tandem with mentor.
Maintains accurate and timely change management documentation.
Develops an understanding and works with standard methods and procedures.
Evaluates issues and escalates to more senior staff when appropriate.
Develops and maintains technical and operational documentation of assigned applications.
Supports production environment for assigned applications.
Problem identification analysis and resolution skills.
Knows when and what resources to leverage for production requests and incidents.
Understands customers’ work processes and workflow to assist in the identification and documentation of users’ functional specifications.
Follows best practices and shares with end users to improve application and use of technology.
Obtains and maintains certifications and/or training necessary for assigned applications.
This position functions in a multiple-managed environment receiving directions from multiple managers. To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong written and verbal communication. We are seeking a natural leader who enjoys mentoring others on proactive monitoring, documentation of servers, configurations, backups, and restorations, and Level 2 customer support. We are seeking someone with strong multi-tasking skills who manages multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of Radiology/PACS and Cardiology services, products and applications preferred.
