Saint Luke's Care is the physician quality organization for SLHS. The department supports the management of the clinical content for SLHS and achieves this work through 13 multidisciplinary Evidence-Based Practice Teams (EPTs) and 1 Integrated Practice Unit (IPU). In addition, the team supports SLHS quality initiatives/projects through the EPTs and additional multidisciplinary committees.
Job Description: Ensure that appropriate physician orders and related clinical documents are aligned throughout all Saint Luke's Care clinical documentation for the SLHS. Develop, implement and manage the evidence-based medicine throughout documentation in a timely, efficient, accurate manner and be compliant with all regulatory mandates. Serve as a liaison between Saint Luke's Care, Health Information Management, Clinical Informatics, Epic Analysts and the SLHS Clinical Documentation Committees. Ensure congruency between electronic documentation systems and paper forms. Support and collaborate with the clinical project manager of the EPTs in all aspects of clinical document development. Works with EPT clinical members to identify opportunities for improvement and solutions to clinical problems. Assists with preparation of teaching materials and provides needed education for EPT members or Saint Luke's Care affiliated staff.
Engage and collaborate with SLHS and SLPG departments, ambulatory practice staff, inpatient clinical staff, clinicians, and system leadership to accomplish shared goals.
Communicate timely and appropriate updates and information to key project stakeholder(s).
Collaborate with Reporting Analytics on data collection, validation, and measurement of outcomes related to SLC clinical projects.
Identify opportunities for SLC projects and outcomes to be shared on a national stage as well as participate in educational activities within SLHS.
Actively engage in system-wide shared governance, documentation committees, quality committees, and other venues as the representatives for SLC physicians and best practice standards.
Application of Epic knowledge and tools to make appropriate EMR build recommendations to customers in the implementation of best practice standards.
