Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City is looking for a Lab Support Technician to support our lab team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to process specimens. Our lab is a multi-disciplinary and collaborative team with diverse backgrounds and experience levels, which ensures our vision of being “The best place to get care. Shift Details This position is a full time night position. The hours will be 1930-0700 in a 5/4 shift pattern. This position will work two weekends, then off two weekends. 

The Work :   

Collect patient specimens in accordance with laboratory’s policy, procedures, and regulatory standards 

Correlates patient samples to provider laboratory test orders in the LIS/EMR 

Performs and reports Point of Care laboratory testing as required 

Uses education and experience to identify and resolve patient circumstances that might interfere with accurate sample collection 

Communicates effectively with nursing and unit staff to relay information concerning patient collections 

Procedures may vary pending hospital location 

We are seeking a phlebotomist, lab support tech that is confident in their skills, patient focused, positive, and willing to go above and beyond for their patients and peers. Phlebotomy experience is preferred, but not required. We are looking for professionals who are able to multi-task, a need to stay busy, and able to change directions quickly.
