Job Description​

The Opportunity:

We are hiring an RN for our Med Surg Intermediate Float Pool. This position will float between two or three of our metro hospital locations in Lee’s Summit, Overland Park, North Kansas City, and Plaza areas.

As a Float Pool Nurse at Saint Luke’s Health System, you will provide patient care in various Telemetry, Med -Surg, Intermediate, and Rehab units.   You will be provided all of the training and resources needed to support  these different specialties.

The Schedule:

This is a night shift position working 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m.

Schedules are written 8 – 10 weeks in advance.

• Position is accountable for utilizing the nursing process. 
• Responsible for performing patient care delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff.
• Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes. 
• This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies rules guidelines and procedures.
