Job Description​

Saint Luke’s Health System is looking for an experience, proven leader for our Director of Reimbursement position.  The Director of Reimbursement position is responsible for the planning, implementation and directing of the reimbursement department and programs for the Health System to ensure the appropriate amount of Medicare, Medicaid and CHAMPUS reimbursement is received for the Health System.

This position is responsible for communication with all system leadership including Hospital CFO's, Saint Luke's Physician Group, Revenue Cycle and Legal in areas that pertain to Governmental Reimbursements.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Federal & state advocacy including KHA assessment analysis & health system advocacy support

  • Regulatory updates for proposed & final - IPPS, OPPS, SNF, HHA, Hospice
  • Medicare & Medicaid contractual & third party reserve budget
  • Program analysis – health system structural changes
  • Communication with annual financial auditors
  • Oversee home office reporting and allocation methodology
  • Reimbursement education – CFO’s, finance, revenue cycle, staff
  • 340B program – monitor regulatory changes & compliance with cost report reporting
  • 855 review, attestation statement review & annual compliance reviews
  • Review third party filings – cost report, FRA assessment, State DSH surveys
  • Oversee vendors—contract to submission of information
  • Process improvement & interaction with SLHS compliance department for areas of concern
  • Oversee reimbursement structure, project deadlines and internal communication with departments
  • Work with Legal and/or outside counsel as needed on appeals and any high-level issues
  • Respond to billing questions & researching physician regulations as needed
  • Other special projects as requested
  • Analysis of ACO and bundled payment initiative and potential participation
