Job Description​

The Opportunity: 

Saint Luke’s South in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Level III NICU. You will provide care primarily for NICU patients, but may float over to Labor and Delivery, Mom Baby, and post GYN Surgical Care to assist as needed. This is a great opportunity to expand your skills. Experience in all of these areas is not necessary. This position will give you variety in your work and the opportunity to participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Our team has 24 hour coverage by a Physician or Advanced Practice Provider. We provide a lot of teamwork, support, and collaboration to one another. The physicians and Advanced Practice Providers four our unit are engaged, supportive and are passionate about knowledge sharing.

Shift Details:

3, 12s per week (6:45am-7:15am)

weekend requirement and holiday requirement

The Work:

  • · Utilizes the nursing process
  • · Performs patient care, delegates patient care tasks, and supervises patient care staff
  • · Coordinates the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consults with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • · Demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies rules guidelines and procedures
  • · Completes thorough assessments, performs medication administration, develops a holistic plan of care, drain management, post-procedural or post-operative management
