Job Description​

Saint Luke's East Hospital is dually certified through the Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center and AMI Center; we offer 24/7 cardiovascular interventions through our STEMI program. We currently have an opportunity for an RN to work in our busy 31-bed Emergency Department. As the busiest Emergency Department within the Saint Luke’s Health System, this top performing team works collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment to support each other as they focus on creating positive patient outcomes and experience. This diverse team will allow you to work with a variety skills, experience, and backgrounds as our ER nurses are well versed in all levels of care (Med Surg, Intermediate, ICU, and ER).

Responsibilities:

• Accountable for utilizing the nursing process.
• Responsible for performing patient care delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff.
• Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies rules guidelines and procedures.

We are seeking natural leaders who are flexible, open, and adaptable nurses with a passion about quality care and educating patients, patients’ loved ones and their peers. Ideal candidates will have previous RN experience working in an Emergency Department, Critical Care, or Progressive Care/Step Down Unit; a minimum of 1 year RN experience is preferred, however 2-5 years is ideal. Strong teamwork and effective communication skills are essential to be successful in this position.
