Job Description​

As a Float Pool Nurse for our Medical Surgical and Telemetry Units at Saint Luke’s East, you will provide coverage for various units including; Med/Surg, PCU, Med Tele, CVRU and Medical Intermediate. You will have the opportunity to care for patients with various medical conditions, treatment plans, and acuity levels. This position will allow you to work with a multidisciplinary team with diverse backgrounds and experience. Our float pool is a growing department working to provide stronger support to our teams, improve patient outcomes, and provide an exceptional patient experience for patients and their loved ones. Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for utilizing the nursing process.
  • Responsible for performing patient care delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff.
  • Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies rules guidelines and procedures.

This team supports our Saint Luke’s East location only in Lee’s Summit, MO.
