Job Description​

Saint Luke’s Home Care and Hospice has a career opportunity for a Clinical Supervisor to help oversee our home care and hospice functions at our South branch operation headquartered in Ottawa, Kansas.  This is a great opportunity to use both management skills as well as seeing patients part time. This branch office covers a geographical range from southern Johnson County to Allen County, KS.

Our Clinical Supervisors serve a variety of clinical and managerial functions, that include:

  • Overseeing and monitoring performance and productivity for all clinical staff (RNs, Therapists, Aides, Social Workers, etc.) working out of your branch office.
  • Reviewing case management activities to ensure that evaluation and treatment plans are accurate and meet the needs of patients.
  • Assisting with the hiring, training, mentoring, and development of staff.
  • Ensuring that all staff are compliant with all legal, regulatory, and policy requirements.
  • Ensuring that all staff demonstrate proficiency with clinical competencies and that they complete in-service training and continuing education activities.
  • Taking a caseload of patients and providing in-home services and case management to those individuals.
  • Conducting initial assessments of patients physical and psychosocial status and needs.
  • Providing education and counseling to patients, family members, and other caretakers in support of the patient’s care plan.
  • Documenting patient visits, interventions, assessments, and other activities.
  • Attending and/or leading team and agency meetings.
  • Assisting with agency-wide initiatives and special projects.

The Home Care and Hospice Clinical Supervisor must be a Registered Nurse or Physical Therapist and must have an active license in both Kansas and Missouri.  Driving a personal vehicle to home visits is required and the incumbent must have a valid driver license and a satisfactory driving record.
