Allen County Regional Hospital, a 15-bed community hospital located in Iola, Kansas, and Anderson County Hospital, a 12-bed community hospital located in Garnett, Kansas, are recruiting for a Hospitalist to join the existing hospitalist team. The ideal candidate is a BC/BE IM or Family Medicine physician with excellent inpatient skills. We currently have an IM Hospitalist and telemedicine support through the Saint Luke’s Health System Hospitalist group located in Kansas City.  No night coverage required for this position. Allen County Regional Hospital offers a full array of specialist support with a built-in transfer program directly to Saint Luke’s Hospitals in the Kansas City area.

Allen County Regional Hospital in Iola delivers high-quality health care to Allen County, Kansas, and it’s surrounding communities. The county-owned hospital was established in 1952 and opened the doors to a new facility in 2014. The 15-bed critical access hospital is Joint Commission Accredited and is designated as a Kansas Level IV Trauma Center. Services include a 24-hour emergency department; inpatient care with a hospitalist program; advanced imaging; inpatient and outpatient surgery; inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation; skilled nursing, senior life solutions; and wound care. The hospital’s outreach specialty clinic keeps patients close-to-home by offering access to specialists in a variety of areas including cardiology; gastroenterology; podiatry; rheumatology; and urology.

Anderson County has a population of 7,800, with Garnett as the largest community and county seat.
