Job Description​

Saint Luke’s Advanced Care and Home Infusion Pharmacy has a career opportunity for a highly qualified Pharmacy Manager with experience in home infusion.  This is a full-time position located in Kansas City, Missouri. The Infusion Pharmacy is available for patients needing infusion services at home.  The pharmacy provides a variety of services that include antibiotics, cardiac medications, parenteral and enteral nutrition, and a range of specialty medications to address chronic and rare diseases. The Pharmacy is part of Saint Luke’s Health System and the Manager is a member of both the health system pharmacy leadership team and the home care and hospice leadership team.

The Pharmacy Manager has operational responsibility for the coordination and delivery of pharmacy services and will oversee the home infusion pharmacy business line.  Core duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing the home infusion pharmacy business line.
  • Business development and financial accountability, including growing the Home Infusion program
  • Implementing new infusion programs.
  • Managing all home infusion pharmacy staff to include hiring, training, mentoring, and evaluating competencies and job performance.
  • Monitoring compliance and quality of care issues and addressing and resolving escalated patient and provider issues.
  • Ensuring that all staff are compliant with legal, regulatory, and policy requirements.
  • Leading and/or participating in special projects and initiatives.

Eligible candidates for this position must meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • Licensed Pharmacist (KS) - Kansas Board of Pharmacy
  • Licensed Pharmacist (MO) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
  • Medication Therapy Services - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
  • Minimum of 2 years Pharmacist experience, experience in Home Infusion Pharmacy preferred
  • Prior management experience (preferred)
