Job Description​

Saint Luke’s East is currently looking for a full time night Phlebotomist.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to perform blood draws and process specimens in a fast-paced, busy environment. This is a diverse multi-disciplinary and collaborative team with diverse backgrounds and experience levels. They are a positive team that helps and supports one another every day and keeps the patient at the forefront of everything they do. Responsibilities:

• Collect patient specimens in accordance with laboratory’s policy, procedures, and regulatory standards
• Correlates patient samples to provider laboratory test orders in the LIS/EMR
• Performs and reports Point of Care laboratory testing as required
• Uses education and experience to identify and resolve patient circumstances that might interfere with accurate sample collection
• Communicates effectively with nursing and unit staff to relay information concerning patient collections

We are seeking a phlebotomist that is confident in their skills, patient focused, positive, and willing to go above and beyond for their patients and peers. Phlebotomy experience is preferred, but not required. We are looking for professionals who are able to multi-task, a need to stay busy, and able to change directions quickly.
