Job Description​

As an LPN in our Neurology Clinic in Lee Summit, MO, you have the opportunity to work with various neurological specialties such as; Headache and Concussion, Movement Disorders, Multiple Sclerosis and Stroke patients within a health system that is nationally recognized. We are a national leader in stroke reversal and are performing at the leading edge of stroke care. Saint Luke’s takes a multidisciplinary approach to providing comprehensive care to MS patients and is a premier destination in the region. 
In this position as a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will process 40 – 50 medication refills a week, perform phone triage, complete prior authorizations, assist with patient care and perform other responsibilities within your scope of practice as needed. 
Schedule Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm.
Responsibilities:
•    Provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices. 
•    Responsible for screening walk-in patients, telephone screening (with protocols), medication/injection education, assist with procedures, cleaning wounds, dressing changes, suctioning, catheter insertion, tracheostomy care, biopsies, diabetic nail care, and other duties as assigned by respective clinic . 
•    Able to work in a team atmosphere, as well as, autonomously. 
•    Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor at all times. 
•    Delegates tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel UAP in accordance with demonstrated competencies and consideration to Scope of Practice. 
•    May be responsible for covering Medical Assistant job duties as needed.
