Job Description​

Responsible for supervising all aspects of clinical trial operations, including research coordination, quality, regulatory compliance, etc. Actively supervises project management and coordination of activities relating to investigator-initiated trials, particularly those that are multi-center trials sponsored by Saint Luke’s. Has specific background and training in clinical research studies and has excellent knowledge of Good Clinical Practices and FDA guidelines and requirements. Provides oversight and assists with internal monitoring to ensure that studies are conducted in accordance with sponsor protocols, GCP, industry guidelines, and regulatory agency standards. Has demonstrated good management, leadership, and communication skills. Experience managing clinical research staff strongly preferred.

  • Supervise and lead efforts to expand and harmonize clinical trial operations at SLHS, with a focus on multi-centered trials sponsored by Saint Luke’s

  • Establishes a good rapport with investigators

  • Assists with developing research protocols and budgets for investigator-initiated studies

  • Coordinates the scientific review and feasibility assessment of investigator-initiated studies

  • Assists with recruitment and retention of staff in clinical trial operations

  • Assists in providing training to clinical research staff and documenting this training

  • Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization

  • Interacts collaboratively with peers as well as others at all levels of the organization

  • In-depth knowledge of US, EU and International regulatory standards, and GxP guidelines for the conduct of clinical trials

  • Performs other related duties as assigned

  • Certified Clinical Research Professional Required (Association of Clinical Research Professionals or Society of Clinical Research Associates)
