 Medical Assistant (MA) – Float Pool, Full Time

The Opportunity:  

Saint Luke’s Medical Group in Kansas City is seeking an experienced Float Pool Medical Assistant (MA) to be an integral part of our team. This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in delivering high quality, patient-centered medical care to our community. As a trained Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting providers in the evaluation, management, and delivery of professional medical care in a busy multi-specialty physician practice.  

We are proud to offer differential wage rates for this Float Pool position. You will have the opportunity to float in the following region(s): 

• South Region – includes Mission Farms Multispecialty Clinic, Blue Valley Primary Care and the clinics on the SLS Campus. 
• East Region – includes clinics on/near the SLE campus, Blue Springs Multispecialty Clinic and Independence  
• Central Region – includes clinics on/near the SLH campus 
• North Region – includes clinics on/near the SLN campus, Cushing campus clinics in Leavenworth, Parkville, Smithville, Shoal Creek Multispecialty Clinic, Platte City Multispecialty Clinic 

The Work:  

Provide an excellent patient experience by managing the flow of patients, providing excellent customer service, establishing rapport with patients and maintaining a professional demeanor  

Conduct Pre-visit plans, room patients and obtain vitals  

Phlebotomy  

Administer injections and coordinate vaccines  

Assist providers with procedures  

Utilize the EMR system and scan/download documents  

Conduct telephone screening (with protocols)  

Cover front office responsibilities as needed  

We are seeking someone that wants to make a difference in our patients’ clinic experience. To be successful in this role you will need to be flexible and have excellent time management skills. Medical Assistants are cross-trained to perform administrative and clinical duties. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and be eager to be a team player.
