As a Registered Nurse in our Medical ICU Unit you will have the opportunity to provide care to variety of conditions, acuity levels, and treatment plans This team cares for patients who are intubated, on Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), Swan Ganz or pulmonary artery catheters, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), post-code targeted temperature management, bladder pressure monitoring, and arterial line monitoring. In this position you will complete thorough assessments, perform medication administration, develop a holistic plan of care, drain management, post-procedural or post-operative management.
This is a 16 bed unit with 2 ICU patients to 1 RN or 2 telemetry and 1 ICU patients to 1 RN patient ratios. Our MICU Unit is a fast-paced changing environment that includes quickly changing patients and rapid responses. This is a tight knit, team-oriented team who really care about each other. They are a busy group that is constantly moving. Working on this unit will allow you to work with leaders in patient care and provide you the tools you need to grow your career.
Responsibilities:
We are seeking Nurses who provide patient centered care with compassion and empathy. We are seeking natural leaders who love to help everyone succeed and ensures every patient on the unit is receiving exceptional patient care. Strong skills with IVs, NGs, managing multiple drips and intubated patients is important along with a strong focus on quality-skin breakdown prevention, progressive upright mobility on vented patients, and diligent dressing changes for central line dressings. If you are a team oriented nurse who is flexible, adaptable and able to change directions quickly, then this is the right position for you.
