The Nurse Internship position is for students currently enrolled in an accredited RN program who have completed the Fundamentals of Nursing or Med Surg course. We are currently looking for nursing students whose expected graduation date is in 2022.
The Nurse Intern performs clinical procedures and provides patient care for assigned patients under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. The duties of the Nurse Intern includes performing direct and indirect patient care activities, providing support to other health care team members, and performing technical tasks per unit competency validation. However, Nursing Interns are restricted from performing any licensed tasks.
All Nurse Interns will start employment following the Spring 2021 semester. It is the expectation to work full time hours over the course of the summer and breaks. During the school year, the Nurse Intern must maintain PRN requirements.
