Job Description​

The Opportunity:

Saint Luke’s Community Hospitals in Kansas are seeking a Nurse Manager to join our team. You will have the opportunity to lead a team of Nurses and Paramedics while managing daily operations of your designated location. You will be expected to assist with patient care when needed, design and implement process improvement initiatives, manage facilities, survey preparations, and rounding. In this role, you will work cohesively with a multidisciplinary team and be actively involved in leadership committees throughout the Saint Luke’s Health System.

Monday through Friday

You will be expected to be available for your staff if needed on nights and weekends during emergency situations.

The Work:

  • Accountable for the development implementation and evaluation of the care provided on the patient care units consistent with the established strategic plan goals and objectives for Patient Centered Care
  • Works in collaboration with nursing leadership to identify areas of improvement regarding practice policies and processes
  • Supports optimal care that requires specialized knowledge critical thinking and skills based on principles of psychological social physical and biological sciences that utilize the nursing processes
  • Drives employee engagement and retention
  • Maintains all clinical competencies if required due to size and structure of the unit and may occasionally be counted in staffing
  • Assists with patient care when needed
  • Drives performance and continuous improvement efforts while leading the change management process

You will need to have experience leading change management and a team. We are looking for a team player who keeps their patients and peers at the forefront of every decision. We are seeking an experienced nurse leader who can work cohesively with staff, their peers, and system leadership. You will need to have confidence in your skills, strong ability to communicate effectively, and desire to help others improve.

Job Requirements

Applicable Experience:

2 years

Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Pediatric Advanced Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Registered Nurse (KS) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)

Bachelor's Degree: Science in Nursing (Required)
