Job Description​

Patient Account Rep -Certified Coder (CPC or CCS)

The primary responsibility of this position is resolving straightforward to complex charge review edits and coding related tasks. This individual will have direct interface with revenue cycle analyst and revenue integrity analyst, to perform coding related duties for our professional billing. Applicant needs to be highly comfortable with written and verbal communications, perform in a high quality, fast paced environment. Applicant should be familiar with all coding initiatives, NCCI edits, incidentals/inclusive, and bundling rules, etc. Applicant must demonstrate competency for invalid diagnosis, modifiers, coding related issues, and be able to have moderate decision making in following coding concepts.

Performs all coding and billing related activities pre-claim for the Physician Enterprise Centralized Billing Office (CBO). Activities include, but are not limited to, charge entry, solving complex coding issues, identifying problem trends, utilizing resources and communicating with physicians. Position also has the ability to telecommute, offers career ladder advancement opportunities, and includes a bonus program.

This position has flex hours, employee works 5 days a week M-F. Employee can choose how to work 8 hour days anytime between 6:00-5:30 pm. Position also has the ability to telecommute immediately, offers career ladder advancement opportunities, and includes a bonus program.
