Job Description​

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a highly motivated medical office specialists to work in our newest Urgent Care location at Rockhurst University.

Shift Details:  This is a full-time day shift position, 3 12-hour shifts per week.

The Work:

• Performs a variety of functions in the urgent care setting involving general duties including but not limited to answering the telephone, communicating messages through email or Epic, greeting, registering and scheduling patient appointments,
• Position is responsible for collecting patient copayments, verifying insurance and ensuring other patient data is accurate,
• Position is responsible for scanning and/or uploading patient information to patients’ electronic chart.
• Able to provide backup for other positions and functions in the medical office including medical records, scheduling insurance verification, patient referrals etc. and the ability to float between multiple locations as assigned.
• Will work to ensure patient confidentiality in all instances while maintaining a pleasant and professional appearance and conduct.
