Job Description
The Opportunity:
Crittenton Children's Center is the Kansas City area's premier provider of psychiatric care for children, adolescents and their families. It is located on a picturesque, 96-acre campus in south Kansas City (near Longview Lake) providing serenity, beauty and privacy to assist with the healing process. For more than 100 years we've cared for the emotional health of Kansas City's children and families. Today we offer one of the area's most comprehensive behavioral health care programs. This position will be supporting our Acute In-Patient and Residential Behavioral Health Programs. These programs provide behavioral health care for children ages 3-18 years, who require short term or long-term in-patient stays. Crittenton is backed by the complete resources of Saint Luke's Health System.
WWP Shift Details: This is a part-time day position, 24 hours per week.
An employee accepted into the program is scheduled to work a total of two 12 hour shifts between 1900 on Friday night and 0700 on Monday morning. One shift must include Saturday.
Shift times are 0930-2200 (9:30 a.m. - 10 p.m.)
An employee accepted into the WWP must work a minimum of 49 weekends per year
A participant in the WWP will be compensated at the rate of 1 1/2 the employee's base rate for hours worked during the weekend not exceeding 40 hours.
The Work:
Functions independently and accountable for utilizing the nursing process.
Coordinates the care for a group of patients with the Multidisciplinary Team.
Delegates tasks appropriately.
Identifies hospital resources.
Serves as a clinical resource for new employees.
Demonstrates positive formal or informal leadership within unit or department.
