Job Description​

Saint Luke’s in Kansas City is seeking a Hospital Pharmacist to support their Inpatient and ePharmacy teams at their Lee’s Summit, MO, Overland Park, KS, and Kansas City, MO locations. This pharmacist will be asked to work remote ePharmacy in addition to having opportunities to come on site to work.
This is a high-volume inpatient pharmacist position where you will be working independently and autonomously while performing clinical and operational responsibilities including but not limited to; CDTMs (Collaborative Drug Therapy Management), antimicrobial stewardship, answer nursing questions and order verification. Voluntary onsite shifts could include checking restocks to Omnicell cabinets, dispense first dosage, verify technician work, and may perform technician responsibilities when needed. 

Shift Details:

PRN position working 2 - 4 shifts per month. Remote shifts are for evenings(4:30p - 9p) and weekends(9a - 9p).
 

This is an extraordinarily strong, supportive, and collaborative team that always helps one another and never hesitates to jump in when a peer needs assistance.

 The Work:
•    Prepare and dispense medications.
•    Collect, organize, and analyze patient and practice specific information.
•    Initiate and monitor therapeutic plans, work with interdisciplinary teams, supervise supportive personnel, and provide drug information support. 
•    Evaluates medication orders for adherence to all hospital medication use policies including, but not limited to therapeutic interchange, patient’s own medication, collaborative drug therapy management agreements, preferred formulary drug, etc. and then contacts the appropriate healthcare team member(s) with recommendations.
 
Experienced Inpatient Pharmacist is preferred, but not required. Flexibility in this role is important. Individuals in this role should demonstrate the knowledge, skills, abilities, and critical thinking skills necessary to practice pharmacy in a hospital and health system. Strong multi-tasking skills are required to be successful in this position.
