As an Emergency Department (ED) Nurse in one of our Community hospitals you will have the opportunity to work in a brand-new care delivery model and expand your skill sets. You will triage and perform ongoing assessments and provide direct patient care to a variety of acuity levels and conditions working with all ages of patients. Confidence in your skills, the ability to time manage, being able to work well in high pressure situations and the capability to work independently are all required to be successful in this position. In this environment you will be the lead RN in the department.
The Community Hospital model provides you more time and space to give your best nursing care. You will work in a true teamwork environment working side by side with a board-certified emergency medicine physician and an experienced paramedic. If you are a compassionate nurse seeking a change and an exciting opportunity to have more time with patients in an emergency department setting, this is the position for you.
Responsibilities:
The Community Hospital Model is new and the first of its kind in the Kansas City Metro area. It allows nurses, physicians, and paramedics to work collaboratively in delivering patient care. Its unique design allows for shorter wait times and improved patient outcomes. This team has a strong engaging leadership and a workforce to support you in this new position. Our Emergency Physicians love this new model of care and are engaged throughout the entire patient experience.
Collaboration and willingness to work together as a team within each other’s scope of practice is one reason our community hospitals have been so successful. This is a new and growing model, so adaptability is key as we work towards providing exceptional care to the Kansas City area.
