The Opportunity:
Saint Luke’s South Hospital located in Overland Park, KS is hiring for an experienced Registerd Nurse at our destination rehab center. This position provides care to a variety of conditions and treatment plans including; stroke, neuro, spine, transplant and trauma rehab patients. This medical surgical nurse position performs assessments, administers medications, IV therapy, care planning and more while collaborating with various care team members including therapists, providers, and other ancillary departments.
This is a great opportunity to work with leading technology and robotics in a new facility. Our rehab institute is a destination rehab center enhancing how we provide rehabilitation patient care in the Midwest. This team has low patient ratios with competitive benefits.
The Shift:
6:45am-7:15pm, 12 hour shifts
3 shifts per week, self schedule
4 weekend shifts per 6 week schedule
The Work:
To be successful in the position, you will need to be flexible, adaptable, open to feedback and eager to learn. Rehab experience is a plus, but not required. Experience with IV Medication, IV Therapy, Dialysis, Transplant or Neuro also a plus, but not required. Strong communication with a desire to work with a care team to provide patient care is important. We are looking for a strong team player who is passionate about nursing and wants to develop relationships with their patients.
Responsibilities:
Accountable for utilizing the nursing process.
Responsible for performing patient care delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff.
Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies rules guidelines and procedures.
