Job Description​

As a Float Pool Nurse for our Saint Luke’s North locations, you will provide coverage for various units including; Medical Surgical, Progressive Care, Telemetry, Rehabilitation, and Adult Behavioral Health Units throughout our Barry Road and Smithville locations. Our Barry Road location is Stroke and Stemi Certified. You will be provided all the training and resources needed to support all of these different specialties.

This position provides autonomy that allows you to own your practice. This is a great opportunity to expand on your nursing skills and gain experience with multiple different comorbidities and care plans. Responsibilities:

• Position is accountable for utilizing the nursing process.

• Responsible for performing patient care delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff.

• Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies rules guidelines and procedures.

This is a cohesive team that supports one another and possesses strong communication skills. The Float Pool has experienced a lot of growth in the last few years and is proud of its retention rate.
