The Opportunity:
Saint Luke’s North Hospital is seeking an experienced to join our Interventional Radiology team. This IR – Special Procedures nurse position is a vital team member in providing care and sedation for angiography, organ biopsies, acute pulmonary and venous thrombectomies, vertebroplasties, drain placements, and port and dialysis catheter placements as well as other procedures. This unit is also responsible for pre and post care on CV and EP Lab patients. You will be supported by leading technology while working in an innovative environment. The Work:
· Utilizes the nursing process
· Delegates tasks appropriately
· Demonstrates increasing discriminatory judgement in interpreting data and prioritizes appropriately
· Initiates actions to improve nursing practice patient care and unit processes
· Serves as a day to day resource to colleagues at unit and departmental levels
· Provides positive formal or informal leadership within unit and hospital
· Works well with multidisciplinary teams consisting of Interventional Radiologists and Cardiologists, Anesthesiology, Specialty Service providers, and nursing peers.
