We are looking for a Registered Respiratory Therapist RRT / Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our Respiratory Therapy team that supports our 12 bed ICU, our NICU, active non-trauma Emergency department and the Code Blue/Rapid Response Team. We are looking for someone with their RRT that is passionate about patient care, teamwork, continuous learning and growing within your field.

The position supports system facility and department growth and quality through participation in performance improvement activities, continuing education and professional growth.
Responsibilities:
· Performing all aspects of the scope of practice of a respiratory therapist and where applicable cardiopulmonary scope of practice.
· Evaluating and performing diagnostic, therapeutic and metabolic testing in accordance with physician orders and respiratory medical protocols.
· Performing or assisting in a wide variety of procedures including but not limited to endotracheal intubation, extubations, and bed-side bronchoscopy.
· Conducting patient assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic interventions analysis and reporting of clinical response.
· Evaluating appropriateness of medical orders, transporting patients requiring mechanical ventilation or airway protection and assuring safe operations of devices in MRI.
· Maintaining proficiency in the application of mechanical ventilation modalities, Non-Invasive Positive Pressure Ventilation, Continuous Positive Airway Pressure and Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure.
· Working in collaboration with the medical staff and other members of the health care team to support efficient, cost effective and quality patient and family care as well as providing patient and family education and discharge planning.

This position requires strong communication and organizational skills so you can build patient rapport easily
