Job Description​

Rehab Technician-Full Time Day Saint Luke's Smithville Campus Rehab Unit

This position is a combination position to assist with Front Desk/Secretary duties and Rehab Tech duties at our Smithville Campus. This position will provide valuable support to the therapy staff, transportation of patients to the Rehab gym at Smithville and back up support to assist with Front office check ins.  Assists in preparing patients for treatment by Physical and Occupational Therapists and or Assistants, Speech Pathologists and Audiologists. Performs routine tasks and assists therapists during patient treatment activities as directed. Tasks include assists in lifting transferring patients equipment and environmental cleaning taking inventory and stocking supplies transport patients to and from Rehab Department manual lifting or equipment-assisted lifting of patients during transfers in preparation for transport. Annual competency maintained and documented. This person is in direct contact with admitting for registration of patients, scheduling of patients, gathering insurance information, contacting physician offices for information, Assisting with retrieval of reports and typing documents as requested. Also answers phones and ordering of office supplies
