RN (Registered Nurse) Outpatient Oncology Infusion and Clinic Float Position

  • 901 E 104 St, Red Bridge North, Kansas City, Missouri, United States, 64131
  • Full time

Job Description

Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City is looking for a registered nurse (RN) for our Outpatient Oncology and Hematology Clinics.  This RN will float between all of our outpatient oncology physician clinic and infusion clinic sites in Lee’s Summit, Overland Park, North Kansas City, and Plaza.  This is a full time, Monday-Friday position with 8 hour shifts.  There is a one weekend commitment approximately every 13 weeks and one holiday approximately every 2 years.

This position provides the opportunity to be a partner in the patient’s cancer journey.  This gives them the unique and rewarding experience of being able to build relationships with patients long term.  This position collaborates with a multidisciplinary team consisting of physicians, nurse practitioners, RNs, and MAs.  Our St. Luke’s Cancer Institute utilizes a practice council.   It is a great opportunity for an experienced nurse already in the oncology field to continue to grow in their career or for an experienced RN in another area that is excited to learn a new specialty among a compassionate, experienced and tight knit team.

This position will have  face to face contact with patients.  When working in infusion, the RN will administer chemotherapy/biotherapy, patient education, etc.  When working in the physician clinical setting, the RN will work directly with the providers at office visits, handle patient follow-up calls and provide patient education on procedures and processes.  This is an opportunity for a nurse to be a partner with the patient and their care plan every step of the way.

At Saint Luke’s Health System we are committed to diversity and inclusion and providing the highest level of care to patients and communities we serve.  Our system’s outstanding clinical outcomes, reputation, exceptional customer service, dedication to research and innovation, and state-the-art facilities and technology reflect our vision of being “the best place to get care, the best place to give care."
