Job Description​

The Transplant Assistant assumes responsibility and accountability for assisting transplant coordinators in the pre and post transplant outpatient setting. The Transplant Assistant prepares materials and charts schedules studies tests and consults retrieves records and results of tests and studies from hospital departments physician offices and other hospitals or outside labs. The Transplant Assistant functions in the post-transplant clinic by rooming patients obtaining vital signs and assisting the coordinators as requested. Background as a Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant is required with experience taking vitals.
