Job Description​

The Senior Copywriter is responsible for the development of strategic messaging for the health system, its entities, and key clinical and ancillary areas. In cooperation with members of the creative team and marketing directors, the Senior Copywriter is responsible for crafting communications that effectively communicate to patients, referring physicians, the community, and that position the health system in the marketplace.
 

The Senior Copywriter is responsible for managing and executing editorial projects and freelance resources to produce targeted and effective copy on time and on budget. This position will work collaboratively in a team environment to produce integrated and multiplatform advertising campaigns including print and digital, patient communications and education, materials for referring clinicians, website, and other assets as needed. The candidate is a detail-oriented, a team player, receptive to feedback and the creative process, must have superb grammar and editorial skills, and must be able to produce on-brand and appropriate copy for unique audiences.

A Bachelors degree in journalism, public relations, communications, or equivalent knowledge with a minimum of seven years of effective experience is required. Experience with health care messaging is strongly preferred, as well as previous work utilizing Workfront and working in an in-house agency setting.
