Provide prevention screening evaluation diagnosis management and counseling services to hospital clients with speech language cognitive communication oral and pharyngeal sensorimotor impairments. Plans directs and conducts habilitative rehabilitative and counseling programs to treat impairments involving verbal and written language voice articulation fluency interactive and cognitive communication mastication deglutition auditory visual processing and memory and assistive or augmentative communication treatments and devices. Periodically reevaluates client to determine effectiveness of interventions and contributes to discharge planning. The SLPII supervises treatment provided by students technicians or speech therapist assistants and recommends client care interventions. Delegates and instructs supportive personnel and performs other duties as requested by the manager. The SLP II may serve as a clinical resource or coordinate the student program.
