We are hiring a full-time Sterile Processor for our System Float Pool. This is an evening shift position. Hours will vary by entity need.
This position will float between our metro hospital locations in Lee’s Summit, Overland Park, North Kansas City, and Plaza areas. Schedules are written 8 – 10 weeks in advance but flexible based on needs. This position works the day shift from Monday Through Friday.
This position is responsible for the processing, sterilization, and documentation related to sterility of patient care supplies, instruments, and equipment used throughout the hospital in accordance with the AORN Standards of Practice. Prepare and assemble instrument sets and surgery trays using count sheets and verifies proper function and integrity of instruments. Labels instruments correctly and returns them to their proper location. Efficient in the quality execution of instrumentation that is directly related to patient safety and department efficiencies. Familiar with AAMI Joint Commission and APIC standards related to infection control.
1 year plus experience as a Sterile Processor is preferred.
